I am an Indian photographer who is happiest with mud on my boots and the light just beginning to break — spending time in nature is the whole point.
Since 2010 I have taught myself the craft, wandering through many genres before nature and wildlife became home. I have always loved experimenting with light and chasing the frame that feels alive. The pictures I return to are the ones that keep a single species inside its own habitat — those images say something true about the animal, and they give the viewer something to learn from.
A true photographer is one who can tell a tale through a single frame — mesmerising someone enough to go out, explore, and protect the natural world.
Landscape is my other love. I have travelled across India and Africa to read their very different topographies — each one has a character of its own, and I do my best to bring that beauty out in the work. Photographers, to my mind, have a real role in building awareness, and awareness is what leads to conservation.
Alongside the photography I am a first-generation entrepreneur — reason enough, I think, to keep believing a picture can change how someone sees the world.
